- Complained of nagging pain in right shoulder (Affecting her training)
- Became progressively worse
-Throbs felt after training especially during the night
- Associating factors - cost of treatment/investigation and lack of sleep.
-Family may have high expectations of her/Puts pressure on her
-May not have a social life
-May feel stressful, unfocused
-Unable to sleep at night
-Eating disorders, need strict diet for an athelete
-Burnout:
-Lack of motivation
-No purpose in life
Common injuries to athletes
-Injuries to muscle and joints (Shoulder's ball and socket joint)
Common causes of shoulder pain:
Dislocation

Bursitis - Inflammation of Bursae
Torn rotator cuff
Adhesive capsulitis

Rotator cuff comprises
- Group of deep muscles and tendons that act to stabilise the shoulders
- Supraspinatus muscle - Abducts the arm (Most often injured due to proximity to bone)
-Infraspinatus muscle - externally rotates arm
-Teres minor muscle - externally rotates the arm
-Subscapularis muscle - Internally rotates the humerus
