PCL 2 - Signs and symptoms

Pain - tends to be continuous. Can be dull or may be felt as a burning sensation.

Rash - about two to three days after the onset of pain the rash will appear.
- usually emerges on just one side of the body
- starts off as red blotches on the skin, and develops into itchy blisters.
- Each blister may be there for about one week, they become yellowish and
dry out.

Postherpetic neuralgia - neuralgia.


Sometimes there may be additional symptoms, although they are nearly always mild. They might include:

Confusion

Fatigue

Fever

Headache

Memory loss

Upset stomach or abdominal pains
