Support groups

1. Social Welfare Department

- Provides help financially in terms of synthetic tools support
- Helping the disabled who can not afford to buy equipment such as artificial legs, artificial hands, calipers, uses hand / arm, wheelchairs, hearing aids, special glasses, special shoes and other equipment that is recommended by doctors or medical specialists.
- To enable the disabled to upgrade the capability and full lives without depending on others
- The actual rate of synthetic tools support is given
- Specific eligibility requirements :
• Disabled persons registered with JKM.
• Household income ceiling of not more than RM700 per month
• Recommended by a doctor or medical specialist.

2. SOCSO

- Workers who contribute to Social Security Organization (SOCSO) are eligible for compensation and rehabilitation services if :
• They are diagnosed as having certain occupational diseases
• They have work related injuries, including commuting injuries to/from work
• They are confirmed invalid due to certain chronic diseases.
