PCL 10 - Reading between the lines

i've just posted the basic stuff, i'll go into more depth during our PCL session alright :)


Causes of Cataract

Cataracts are caused by changes in the lens protein of the eye, which makes them cloudy. Cataract may be caused due to:

  • Diabetes
  • An injury to the eye or Previous eye inflammation
  • Exposure to ultraviolet light from sunlight
  • Medication use, such as long-term use of steroids
  • Smoking
  • Crystallin’s loss of function
  • A family history of cataracts
  • Exposure to lead
